You rarely push through an obstacle when you can go around it, and you almost always find the way around. This looks like softness and is not — you are persistent, you just do it sideways. You read people and situations fast, and you attach yourself to things that will hold your weight.
How you land. People find you easy to be around and hard to pin down, and both are accurate. You give a little in every direction, which reads as agreeable and is actually strategic — you are finding out which way has give in it. Those who mistake your flexibility for having no position of your own are usually corrected, eventually, and are always surprised.
When it gets hard. Under pressure you go around. You rarely meet force with force, and you are very good at making it look like you conceded when you simply took a different route to the same place. The risk is that going around becomes the only move you know, and some things genuinely have to be said directly. Confrontation you avoid does not disappear; it waits.
You do your best work when there is something solid to build against and you get to choose what.
