You get in where heavier approaches cannot, and your effect shows up slowly and then suddenly. You notice what has not been said and you are usually right about it. You take on the mood of wherever you are, which is both why you understand people and why you are so often tired.
How you land. People find you perceptive and easy to confide in, and they often say more to you than they meant to. You are read as gentle, which is true, and as agreeable, which is less so — you simply do not argue in the moment. The misreading is that you have no strong views. You do; you have just learned that stating them rarely goes as well as letting time make the point for you.
When it gets hard. Under pressure you withdraw and wait. You are patient in a way that genuinely outlasts problems, and you can absorb a great deal without complaint. The cost is that you absorb the atmosphere too — other people's stress becomes your mood, and you often cannot tell which of the two you are feeling. When you do finally state a position, people are startled, because they had not registered that anything was wrong.
You do your best work when you are given time for the effect to gather and somewhere for it to collect.
