Your attention is narrow and it is very good. You give it to one person, one craft, one question, and you stay there long after most people have moved on. You notice what everyone else walked past. You are also easily thrown by an atmosphere you did not create.
How you land. You make a quiet first impression and a lasting second one. People underestimate you early and then find that you know things about them nobody else noticed. What gets misread is your focus: when your attention is elsewhere you can seem uninterested, but it is not indifference, it is that you only have one beam and it is pointed somewhere else.
When it gets hard. Under pressure you narrow. You pull in to the one thing you can still do well and you do it, which is why you hold together in situations that scatter other people. The cost is that everything outside that beam goes unattended, sometimes for longer than it should. You also take other people's stress on as though it were your own, and you rarely notice that is what happened.
You do your best work when you are sheltered from noise and left alone with something worth the depth.
